U.S. Department of Education Daily Digest Bulletin
Today, we’re excited to roll out the newly updated and expanded College Scorecard, a tool that provides students more information than ever before as they make decisions about the next steps in their lifelong learning journeys.
We expanded the new College Scorecard to include potential debt and earnings information based on what a student wants to study (including 2-year programs, 4-year degrees, certificate programs and graduate programs), graduation rates, and even apprenticeships. Using College Scorecard’s comparison tool, you can compare up to ten different school options and see how they stack up.
Check out this video to see the newly updated features to College Scorecard:
With more comprehensive information and expanded comparison tools, College Scorecard is a great resource for any student to find the right fit!

Status of State-Defined Alternate Diplomas in 2018-19
The possibility of developing a “state-defined alternate diploma” for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities was included in the 2015 reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, known as the Every Student Succeeds Act. To count this diploma in a graduation measure for accountability, several criteria must be met, including that it must be standards-based, aligned to state requirements for the regular high school diploma, and obtained within the time period for which the state ensures the availability of a free appropriate public education (FAPE).

Assessment to Practice Model - updated
This resource was originally developed (2017) to provide classroom level practitioners with a model for moving from collecting assessment data to identifying strengths, needs, and goals. Then, using the best available evidence for predictors of post-school success and effective practices for instruction, developing transition services and related IEP goals that reflect the research. The model was recently updated to make steps more explicit and provide updated case-study models for the process. Tell us what you think at email@example.com!Downloads
